Sensible Cinema Product Software Issue

 

First check our internet knowledge base and pages 127-136 in the product manual for some common support answers. For instance, simply rebooting your computers and cycling power on your network switch box will correct most network connection problems.

If you cannot locate the answer to your software problem, contact Sensible Cinema Software.

Please! Call only when you are physically at your problematic computer and when we can have your undivided attention.

In order for us to help you, you must have a general knowledge of Windows plus access to e-mail and the internet in order to receive software updates and send/receive other necessary files for your support incident.

In many instances we can take control of your computer to solve issues you may have. Please download and install our Remote Support Software and call for remote support.

If you do not feel comfortable enough with computers to work with us, please appoint a system administrator who has experience with Windows fundamental functions like sending e-mail, installing software, downloading files and using the internet.


Standard support is offered during regular business hours 9-5 CST Monday-Friday, excepting holidays. Standard support is defined as an issue that does not prevent you from selling tickets or concessions (for example, reporting problems or non-essential hardware configuration issues). Emergency support for systems that are completely down is offered 24/7 within reason. If you are not certain who you should call for support in your situation then read the remainder of this document.

 

If you are a Mercury Payment Systems credit card merchant, all of your credit card processing related support calls are free.

 

The per incident fee for other support matters and contact telephone numbers are found in the Support | About box found in the product’s main menu or from the Help menu. Voice support is free for one year with Box Office for Windows. If you are unsure who to contact for support, call us and we will suggest a course of action based on your problem without a support charge.

 

E-MAIL SUPPORT IS ALWAYS FREE. Send your support question to support@sensiblecinema.com. Be sure to respond to the e-mail confirmation e-mail which follows if you have never written before. You will be required to confirm your identity the first time as an anti-spam measure of our mail system.

 

 

Virus Removal

Sensible Cinema Software cannot assist you with virus, spyware or ad ware removal even if it prevents you from using our software. You must hire a competent professional local to you to come on site to assist you with this matter. Prudent measures like anti-virus software, firewalls and other such measures are recommended.


 

Computer and Peripheral Hardware Issue

 

Contact the PC or device manufacturer. Your system likely has support for the computer(s) or a warranty. Only the manufacturer knows your exact system configuration. You may need to provide the manufacturer with certain service tag numbers or serial number found on a sticker on the computer chassis. If you purchased a Dell system through Sensible Cinema Software these numbers will also be found on the paperwork that accompanied your computers when they were shipped.

Windows Operating System

Contact the PC Manufacturer or Microsoft. Sensible Cinema Software does not provide Windows operating system support. The manufacturer of your PC in licensing Windows from Microsoft has assumed all responsibility for the operating system installed on their PC. Many charge extra for operating system support issues and do not include such support in standard support packages. All of the Windows setup information for our product’s installation on a Windows computer is found in our manual text and on this web site in the knowledge base. For example, we will help you setup a printer for use with our software, however you must be able to install the Windows printer drivers in the Windows Control Panel. Sensible Cinema only provides basic Windows instruction via knowledge base articles and the user guide for setting up the software. We cannot help you with virus removal, internet or e-mail services, Windows training or installation of products unrelated to Sensible Cinema software.

Networking Hardware Issue

For problems with your networking cables or network switch, contact the system administrator for your location or the original installer. If you suspect the problem lies in a faulty network adapter installed in your PC, contact the PC manufacturer. Download our PDF Network Troubleshooter flyer and print it out for posting in a place accessible to all of your employees to refer to.

 

 

Password Issues

If you have forgotten your management account login password in your Sensible Cinema Software product we can override system security provided we can confirm your identity. If you have lost a Windows password I’m afraid we cannot help. You may have to re-install Windows and subsequently our software product in that event. In Windows XP you might try logging in with the user name “Administrator” with a blank password. In many cases that account will start your computer.

 

 

Credit Card Processing

If your internet connection is down you must contact your own ISP (internet service provider). If the internet is working and the matter isn’t one about connectivity, contact the Mercury Pay Trouble Desk at 1-800-846-4472. For testing and issues specifically related to Sensible Cinema configuration with Mercury, contact Sensible Cinema.
