IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE!

v1.02 ADDRESSES PRINTING WITH WINDOWS XP, NT and 2000

NOTE ABOUT TICKET PRINTER SETUP:
--------------------------------
Please configure your Ticket Printer FIRST before completing other config-
uration items. The field length of some input fields are dependent on the
printer chosen. For instance, the maximum length of a banner message is
shorter on a 2x3 ticket than on a 2x4 ticket.

TICKETING UNDER LANTASTIC FOR DOS V5.00 THROUGH V8.00:
------------------------------------------------------
In order to print instantly under Lantastic, REM the following lines
from the file C:\LANTASTI\STARTNET.BAT (or CONNECT.BAT if it exists)
           Before: NET USE LPT1 @PRINTER
After: REM NET USE LPT1 @PRINTER

NEW SUPPORTED PRINTERS:
-----------------------
Sensible Cinema now supports FGL (Friendly Ghost Language) printers made
by leading manufacturers, Boca and Practical Automation. The program will
allow the printing of 2x3 Center-Perf and 2x4 Off-Center-Perf tickets. See
the list of available printer drivers in the printers setup in the
configuration menu. See our web site for sample tickets from these printers.
Some reports designed for the receipt printers will not work with these
printers, including the schedule printing option.

NEW SERIAL CASH DRAWER SUPPORT:
-------------------------------
For those users with printers which do not directly support cash drawers,
we have added the ability to use a serial cash drawer. To set up a serial
drawer, instead of answering Y or N for a cash drawer in the printer setup,
answer S for serial. Then, edit the OPEN.BAT file found in your BOXPRO
directory and indicate COM1 or COM2 for the connected port. Save the file
and test the drawer by typing OPEN and pressing ENTER from the C:\BOXPRO>
command prompt. This feature enables you to buy less expensive printers
which do not offer a cash drawer kick command and eliminates the need to
"hard wire" drawers to your printers.

QUICK EXITING:
---------------------------
You may now "Quick Exit" BOXLITE from its Main Menu by pressing the F12 Key.

WEEKLY REPORT REMINDERS:
------------------------
A reminder will appear in the Report Menu which will show when a film week
is complete on a film so that the manager will be prompted to complete the
Weekly Box Office Report and reconfigure the feature for a new film week.

CUSTOMIZE REPORT CATEGORIES:
----------------------------
This has been moved to under the heading "REPORT PRINTING OPTIONS" in the
Configuration Menu, option #5. This allows the setup of custom report
revenue and deduction categories.

FEATURE CONFIGURATION:
----------------------
The date setup routine has been made Y2K compatible. The (R)econfigure
option will not work while the system is initialized for ticketing.
If you need to manually edit the feature setup data file, choose the
appropriate movie under Configure Features, press (E) for Edit, then
press F12 and ENTER to start the editor. This feature is not documented
within the program in any way.

STARTING BOXLITE AUTOMATICALLY AT STARTUP ON MS-DOS BASED COMPUTERS:
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure no other program is configured to startup automatically and
if there is one, remove those lines from the AUTOEXEC.BAT first. Then...
Add the following lines to the last line of your AUTOEXEC.BAT file by
typing EDIT C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT at the command prompt:

        C:\DOS\SHARE
        CD\BOXLITE
        BOXLITE
